Biology
Course Objectives
This course is primarily for students who are college bound and wish to receive an introduction to beginner/moderate level Biology. Students in this class and are expected to know and apply important concepts from Life Science and Physical Science. Laboratory will be included, and organization and ability to understand instructions is required. The material covered will be divided as follows:
Unit 1: Chemistry of Life: Biological Molecules
Unit 2: Cells
Unit 3: Genetics
Unit 4: Evolution
Required Materials
Exploring Creation with Biology, 2nd Edition, Wille and Durnell.
Exploring Creation with Biology, Lab Manual, 2nd Edition, Wille and Durnell.
Classroom Rules
1. No Food or Drink
2. Dress Code WILL BE followed
3. Do not Touch or Remove Items that belong to the Teacher
4. No Excessive Talking, Be Prepared, Ask Questions!!!!
5. Good Behavior and Good Attitude are REQUIRED
6. ALL Disciplinary Actions will be implemented according to the 2018-2019 Handbook
CHEMISTRY

Students in this class and are expected to know and apply important concepts from Algebra. Laboratory will be included, and organization and ability to understand instructions is required. The material covered will be divided as follows:
Unit 1: Matter, Stoichiometry, Gases
Unit 2: Thermodynamics, Chemical Bonding, Metals vs. Nonmetals
Unit 3: Kinetics, Equilibrium, Acids vs. Bases
Unit 4: Oxidation/Reduction, Modern Chemistry
